Rules for the Rest of Your Life

Morgan sent this to me the other day.
We’re constantly sending inspirational podcasts, videos, and quotes to one another – but this one got me thinking.

Enter Matthew McConaughey.

Matthew McConaughey Univ. of Houston Speech

Establish goals and identify what success is to you and I.
Today I want to be on a homestead raising goats and living off the grid.
I love my family and I want more friends
I enjoy working but I want to work for a purpose.
I don’t want to leave “crumbs”.
I want to leave this world better than when I left it.

Years ago, I heard a motivational speaker named Wes Beavis.
He gave me a nugget which I still hold onto that holds true year after year.
Try it out:

“Do today having improved on yesterday and do the same tomorrow.”
